Our under 17 team bowed out of the cup and league competitions losing 8-7 on pens. to Salesian College Celbridge in the quarter finals of the Leinster Cup. They were also beaten by Portmarnock C.S. in the semi-final of the Dublin North Metro league.

Our under 15 were beaten in the Dublin League semi final by Clonkeen College on a scoreline of 5-2. That ends the season for these lads, well done to the panel and teachers involved.

The senior Under 19 team will play Colaiste Eanna in the Dublin Metro League final having beaten Blackrock College 2-1 to advance to this stage. Josh Croft secured their place in the final with a last gasp strike to secure a great comeback win. This final will take place on Tuesday 9th April at 1pm in the SDFL complex in Liffey Valley. Best of luck to all!

Our under 14 team/1st year team(1/12005) didn’t play in the cup competition this year but have been superb in the league to date, winning their Dublin North Metro league Group A by beating both St. Fintan’s and Ashbourne while drawing with Portmarnock. Having beaten Ratoath C.S. in the semi-final they took on old foes St.Fintan’s Sutton in the final and showed great character and resilience to record a 3-2 victory. That win puts them into the Leinster Champion’s league quarter final where they played St. Mel’s Longford in the quarter finals. This game took place on Wednesday 27th March in Swords. Unfortunately we lost on a scoreline of 3-0 against a very good St. Mel’s Team. The team will also play off for the overall Dublin final so the season is still ongoing with more silverware up for grabs!

Basketball

Congrats to both the first and second year basketball teams who have both advanced to the All Ireland play-offs due to take place in April in what is turning out to be a superb season for our Basketball teams. The second years’ had a superb win today Wednesday 20th March beating St.Micheal’s College 30-19 with Marc Nolan putting in a man of the mach performance. Well done to all involved and best of luck with the play-offs!
